A Bit of History

Elegant Fashion was founded in 1986 by Lucia Bruno as a small tailor shop in Troy, NY. The business began with just alterations on men's, women's, and children's clothing, uniforms, and formal gowns. As it began to grow, eventually the Brunos were able to purchase the current property on Troy-Schenectady Road, in Latham where they are still operating today.

In time, Lucia was joined by her husband Pasquale, who took up an interest in jewelry after working many years as an auto mechanic. They decided to use the empty half of the Elegant Fashion building to sell hand-picked fine jewelry from Potenza, Italy. Combined with Pasquale's increasing interest in things like fixing wrist-watches, the jewelry side of Elegant Fashion took shape into what it is today.

Born, raised, and educated in Italy, Lucia and Pasquale have eyes trained for quality products and services that are second to none. For over thirty years Elegant Fashion has provded customers with special unique products and personalized on-site customer service. Items in our collection are purchased directly from the source so we can offer the most competitive prices. We believe in only the best!
